Favorites: May 2011 – Part 1

At the end of each month, I normally a monthly favorites video on my youtube channel, but at the moment, I don’t really have the muse to do so. I will get back into youtubeing once I’m done with my job, but for now, I’m going to focus more my blog. :-)

So here are my favorites of May 2011!

Liz Earle: Cleanse & Polish, Skin Repair Moisturizer, Skin Tonic

Liz Earle‘s stuff is just amazing. The brand just won The Best British Brand at the CEW Awards, and well deservedly so! It’s improved my skin so much. It’s refined my pores massively.

Radox: Bath Smoothies

Radox Bath Smoothies are just perfect for bubble baths. Since I don’t have a shower, but only a bath tub, I have a bath almost each night and it’s just perfect. Smells lovely, makes my skin nice and soft and relaxes me greatly. Also amazing bubbles!

VO5 Nourish Me Truly Conditioner & Shampoo

This is AMAZING. I cannot praise VO5‘s new Nourish Me Truly products enough. I don’t think I have gotten around it at all yet, but this is fantastic stuff. I’ve been using the conditioner in alternation with the deep treatment below and it’s just given back my bouncy curls. My hair was so damaged from dying and straightening it constantly, and this really has given me back my beautiful curls! <3

VO5 Treat Me Right Deep Treatment

As I said just in the previous section. BEST. DEEP. TREATMENT. EVER. I love this Treat Me Right deep treatment from VO5. They really have done a fantastic job with their new products. And how cute are those product names as well? OMG <3

L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Hand Cream

Now I have to admit, I’m not a handcream user. Well I wasnt before I got this. Just purely because I don’t care about my nails or hands a lot, to be honest. I don’t do any jobs that are hard on my hands so they don’t need much care. OR SO I THOUGHT. But since using this handcream by L’Occitane, I realised how desperate my hands had been for some TLC. This stuff smells divine, absorbs quickly into the skin and has made my hands SOOOOOOOOOOOO soft. OMPH!!

L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Eau de Parfum

I gotta say I love most items from L’Occitane‘s new limited edition makeup range. They really have done a great job with using the peonies fragrance. I generally love wild roses more than the standard roses so I’d choose this fragrance any time of the day or night. It really is ideal for both, so I’ve been wearing it constantly. AND A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY!

Orly Cutique Nail Cuticle Treatment

Like I said, I haven’t been very kind to my hands, because I didn’t think I needed to. But thanks to the lovely Farrah Gray, I realised that they did need more TLC. My cuticles are hard and gross and this Cutique by Orly has really helped my hands look a lot nicer!

MAC Liquidlast Liner (Point Black) & Gosh Extreme Art Eye Liner (10)

I bought the MAC Liquidlast Liner off A Blogging Blonde in her blogsale not knowing what to expect. I haven’t really tried any MAC liners, but I’m really into liquid liners at the moment, trying to find my holy grail of liners that doesnt go ANYWHERE. AND THIS IS IT! HOLY GRAIL. Absolutely amazing. Wore this one drunken night, went to bed, woke up and I’m not kidding you IT WAS STILL PERFECT >>> OMG! And that GOSH Extreme Art Eye Liner is just as amazing! I didn’t expect that performance either! So both are my favorites for May 2011 (but surely for another LOOONG while).

MeMeMe Blus (Coral)

So I received this MeMeMe Coral blush the other day thinking it’s gonna be like the Benefit blushes, which I think are rubbish. I know, I know, a lot of you love them, but I just think they are badly pigmented. The Dandelion one is beautiful but doesn’t show up at all on my skin and I’m a porcelain doll! So yeah, I wasn’t expecting much of this one, but I LOVE IT. It’s nicely pigmented – not too much, not too little. Just right. And the color is PERFECT for this summer! It’s a perfect shade of coral and really gives you a nice summery flush. Especially when combined with a nice bronzer & highlighter :)

L’Occitane Bronzer Duo

Like I said, I really like L’Occitane‘s limited edition makeup range for this spring/summer season. This actually came with a little sprinkled golden strip down the middle between the two shades, but that obviously only lasts for the first couple of applications. This bronzer is actually fairly pigmented. When I get it on my brush I’m always like EEEEK, so always make sure you tap the excess product off the bristles. But lovely color for shading and contouring :)

Benefit Brow Kit (Dark)

Now some of you might know that I deliberately plucked off the outer halves of both my brows. I wouldn’t recommend that to all of you, but I really wanted the freedom of styling my brows the way I want. They normally go quite close to my lid and that makes my hooded eyes look even smaller. Not cool. So I was quite excited to try this Benefit Brow Kit besides just using the standard brow pencil and/or brown eye shadow. I really like both the brow wax and the eye shadow in there, but OMG the little brushes & tweezers are horrible. I can’t work with them. But other than that, I quite like this product! Nice alternative, that’s for sure.

Vani-T Liquid Sun Spray Tan

I’m not sure how many people know of Vani-T as fake tanning brand, but I didnt until recently when I got this Liquid Sun spray tan. Now I’m not a pro on fake tanning in general, that’s why I stick to my guns and only use mousse & mitt. That’s how I roll and how I prevent from looking streaky. And it works for me perfectly. So when I got this, I was quite scared. But following the instructions, it works PERFECT!

I hope you enjoyed my first part of May Favorites. I’m breaking it into 2 posts because I’m currently mega busy with uni stuff :(

Much love,
Miss drifted Snow White
