Week before last, I spent hours trolling the internet, drooling over so many beautiful items of clothing, jewellery, shoes and accessories that I struggled selecting only 5 items as my previous Wednesday Wishes.

Today, the items are all directly unrelated with beauty and fashion yet its indirectly related to all the things I do with beauty and fashion. I need to extend my Canon EOS 1000D‘s capabilities. I want to “upgrade” my camera with additional equipment so I can get the shots I want for this blog and future photography work (besides taking a photography course obviously!)

1. Macro Ring Flash – in-built flashes aren’t adjustable besides keeping them on or not, you can’t influence their intensity and when you take close-up (macro) shots with flashes it gets over-exposed or if you switch off the flash, it can get under-exposed (which can be counter-acted by leaving the shutter open, but then you need a tripod to avoid the image to get blurry). 
2. Remote Shutter Control – when you take OOTD pictures or FOTD pictures it’s sometimes better to control the shutter remotely than using a self-timer where you have to rush to position yourself in time.
3. ED to EOS Mount Adapter – rather than buying a macro lens that fits the lens mount (which can be very expensive), you can buy a manual macro lens that is for a different camera and then buy an adapter that can connect the lens with the camera body. And with this adapter, it actually also beeps when it is in focus (which saves you setting your DSLR to your dioptrin). I bought a manual macro lens for 15€.
4. Battery Grip – this really helps with stability of holding the camera when you take portrait-layout shots (vertical). Also
