Hello Dollies!

I think this might be a first for me to write about fragrances! I am not the greatest with describing smells because my nose is ruined from smoking for 17 years and because English is obviously not my first language!

But here’s the fragrances that I love and know are great for summer time!! And in no particular order (I’m crap at prioritizing too!)

Dolce & Gabbana – L’Imperatrice
This fragrance is part of the Anthology collection by Dolce & Gabbana, which consists of 7 smells named after Tarot cards. This one I bought in January after being in France with my man visiting a friend from uni. She was wearing the fragrance and immediately as I smelled it I knew I had to have it.
“Flamboyant and energetic, for L’Imperatrice life is a movie and she is its heroine. All heads turn when she enters a room. Vibrant, magnetic she exudes charisma and force of nature. Succulent exotic fruits of bright pink florals give way to a musky, appetite-arousing base. A mouth-watering concoction of fresh watermelon and juicy kiwi is offset by the drama of a pink cyclamen for an exhilarating fragrance sensation. Boisterous, brilliant and incredibly addictive.“

This would make a lovely perfume for the hot summer nights by the beach or lake. I mean, obviously you can wear it any time, but when I smell it, I think of warm summer nights by the lake.

Dolce & Gabbana’s L’Imperatrice

DKNY – Be Delicious
Again, another find through a friend Emily from uni. She was applying it in the pub near campus and as the smell reached me it just made me go “YUMMMM”. It’s got a lovely apple-y scent, very sweet but not sickenly. It’s just smells so fruity, it can’t be better than for summer time!

Be Delicious opens with crisp and edgy top notes including American Apple, crisp Green Cucumber and sparkling Grapefruit. The middle notes are sweet and sinful with Magnolia, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose and Violet. In the base, Sandalwood and White Amber round out the scent with an innocent and sexy appeal.“

DKNY’s Be Delicious

Laura Biagotti – Laura
My mum had this when I was younger and it’s probably the scent I’ve been the most loyal to. I can still picture the advert of Italian dusk and a woman in a light silk floating silver dress. And with being Laura being Italian, she captures the summer of Italy in this fragrance. I just love it. I wear it any time, because I just love it so, but I think it’s best for special occasions (but maybe that’s because it’s hard to get!)
