Recommendation: My Top 5 Red Lip Liners

Hi my lovelies!!

How have you guys been? Have you been watching my haul videos of Paris and of ELF? Did you enjoy that? I hope you did!

As I promised in my My Top 5 Red Lip Sticks post 2 days ago, I am now bringing you my Top 5 of Red Lip Liners today!

Make Up For Ever – Aqua Lips 8C
I bought this lip liner in Paris together with my Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lippie in Moulin Rouge as they looked like a good match. I tried it on my hand before buying it and let it try for a couple of minutes. I kid you not, it didn’t budge, smudge or move with water after that! It was kinda difficult getting it off with normal make up remover (which is probably why Make Up For Ever do their own make up remover for their aqua range). So I bought it right away but thought that it might not work on my lips due to drinking and smoking. But I was wrong – it works perfectly! It goes on really creamy and smooth like any automatic lip liner does, but it stays put and doesn’t dry my lips out either! It’s absolutely beautiful and I will use this very regularly!! £11.95

MAC – Beet
I saw this lip pencil in one of the videos that Nic from Pixiwoo did and fell in love with the color. The name describes the color perfectly. It’s a normal lip pencil – a bit dry but that’s good as it says on for quite a while. And it makes my fav red lip sticks look gorgeous as it adds a bit of darkness to it. And it’s a great color to wear just on it’s own, especially for the Winter season. £10

Illamasqua – Spell
This pencil I bought when I had my make up done at the Illamasqua stall in Birmingham’s Selfridges. They used this on me with their Ignite lippie and I had to have them both. While the Ignite leans towards the orange end of the red shades, this one is just a true red lip liner. Just like any pencil lip liner, it’s a bit dry so it’s a bit difficult to apply it but it stays long on as well. £12.50

MAC – Red Enriched
This lip pencil is a gorgeous brick red lip liner. It’s an automatic one of their Creamstick Liners range, so quite soft and creamy and applies really well. Unfortunately this one doesn’t come with a sharpener so once it’s worn down a bit I find it difficult to apply clean lines. But other than that; it’s a gorgeous color and applies evenly, easy and opaque. £10.50

Goldfinger – Red
I don’t remember where I got this one from – I think this one was a freebie with one of my eBay purchases last year. It’s my first red pencil and it’s another pillar box red. Absolutely gorgeous too and it’s quite similar to Illamasqua’s Spell one. It’s a bit harder product so it feels a bit dry on the lips, but other than that – top notch too!

I absolutely love red lips. They are so classy and chic and I dont think I will ever be able to live without them. I hope you enjoyed these! Maybe you have some other red lip liners (or lip sticks) that you think I should try? Let me know! I love trying new products :-)

Much love,
