News: Illamasqua ‘Skin Base’ Foundation

Illamasqua - one of the young rising stars in the beauty industry – are launching an entire new found
ation range called ‘Skin Base‘, this becoming the 5th foundation range (Illamasqua already does a cream foundation, a full-coverage liquid foundation, a light-coverage liquid range and a powder foundation).

This is what David Horne (Director of Product Development) says:

Inspired by the cult Asian market Beauty Balm creams, Skin Base Foundation is a brand new, refined formula unlike anything on the UK market. Easily blendable, it effortlessly creates a perfect complexion, and like the entire Illamasqua foundation range, is undetectable in a professional HD environment. Suitable for all skin types, it smoothes, softens and conditions your skin whilst providing natural, buildable coverage.

‘Skin Base is an innovative formula that doesn’t require any outlandish marketing claims. In my 20 years experience as a professional make-up artist, l have tried some fantastic foundation innovations, but nothing compares to Skin Base’s winning texture and professional finish – it will leave you staring at your immaculate skin in wonderment.’

The Skin Base foundation range will launch on 23rd June, 2011 in 18 shades. You can join the waiting list now so you are notified when your shade becomes available. It will retail at £25 for 30ml / 1 fl oz.

My thoughts
This is a bit pricier compared to the other foundations (£21.50), but I think, if the foundation does what it claims it might be worth it. Most HD-ready foundations like the Make Up For Ever one are a lot more expensive. I can’t wait to try this foundation!!

Much love,
Miss drifted Snow White
