Hi everyone! I hope you are all ok. I was meant to blog about this on Monday but I’m still so incredibly exhausted from my 3 days in Austria, where my niece at 23 got married to her boyfriend.
I hadn’t seen her in over 6 years but even back then – she was 17 at the time and had only been going out with her boyfriend for 1 year – she knew she was gonna marry him! AND SHE FINALLY DID IT! TWICE!
On Thurs she did like a town hall / civil service ceremony, which I missed and then on Saturday they did a formal church wedding, which I didn’t miss! YAY! They did everything themselves with a little help from their friends and it was so beautiful.
And my highlight is that I totally guessed her dress 100% correct just seconds before she showed herself. WIN! Even after 6 years, I still know her well enough for that :-)
And today I decided (and I will try my very best to hold on to this idea) that I will be living near Stansted Airport, so I can fly not just to my parents cheaply but also to her. I cannot wait to see her more often. I still can’t believe that she’s ACTUALLY married! Married!! Makes me wanna jump up and down like a child with joy.
It was a beautiful day with a bit of rain and drama but in the end, I’m sure they will never forget it. If they do, they will always have the other day to remember haha.
And I’m still very proud that she trusted me enough to help her sort out her dress’s train at all times. What an honour and it made me feel a lot more included. And her now husband is a star. He is a keeper and I trust him to look after my niece. AND I believe he will be a great daddy, which he apparently can’t wait for!
I’m glad I flew out there. After all the discussions around the costs (the flights did cost £200 return), it was worth seeing her so happy.
Much love,
Miss drifted Snow White
