Haul: MAC

Good evening everyone!!

I’m just bringing you a post about a haul that I did today when I went to check out MAC’s new Cham-Pale collection. I’ve had the LE Paint Pots, the Highlight Powders and the Eye Shadow Quad on my wish list since the day I saw the collection.

So when I found out that it was coming out today I got up really early (for holiday time) and was one of the first customers at the stall (the sales assistants were still laying out the products). So I had plenty of time to take pictures and swatch the stuff I was interested in.

In the end I bought 2 of the 4 LE Paint Pots: Chilled on Ice and Let Me Pop.

I think both paint pots are absolutely beautiful. I have a couple, partially discontinued Paint Pots (Fresco Rose, Perky, Coral Crepe, Painterly, Moss Scape, Delfi, Rollickin’, Rubenesque and probably others) and I can say I don’t have anything like this. Some may argue that Rubenesque is similar to these, but I’d say that it could only be a part of this collection but is in no way a dupe.

Anyways. I’m probably going to go back and drool over the other two paint pots and the hightlighter powders. I’ve given up on the quad after realising that half of them are actually in the permanent line, so no need to have them as a quad.

But I kept wondering what happened to the Stylishly Yours – the other collection that was released with the Cham-Pale collection in the US. It’s got very vivid colors and some of my twitter mates asked about it when I tweeted about Cham-Pale being released. Oddly enough, none of the sales assistants (or their managers) knew anything about that collection – some hadn’t even heard about it so they suggested that it might just be an American exclusive? Heck knows! But this was in Selfridges, so you never know if those ladies know everything.

So I decided to go to the proper MAC store to find out but when I got there I completely forgot about Stylishly Yours because I remembered seeing Beauty Blogging Blonde wearing MAC’s Rebel lip stick (Satin) in one of her recent videos and needed to check it out! I had bought a bold lip stick from Illamasqua yesterday as it is, so I might as well, right?!

And OMG it looked amazing on!! I couldn’t believe it! I got so excited because it looked good against my pale skin AND because I’m getting a lot braver to release that alter ego!! I sooo had to buy it!!

And then I got cheeky and talked one of the SAs into giving me a sample of their matte creme as I’m still struggling to make any foundation stay on my face! It doesn’t matter if I skip moisturizing or if I use primers or not – they won’t stick.

So she gave me a tiny sample too:

So I spent another £38.50 today after spending £51 yesterday. So much for saving for IMATS in a month – ah well, it’s not 2011 yet so my New Year’s Resolution doesn’t count yet :p

And here’s my haul video:

I hope my more regular posting and more filming :) :)

Much love,
