Very recently I’ve asked you lovely readers to suggest themselves or other people for when I resume my Follow Friday Interview Series and I have to say I’m so overwhelmed by the number of emails and awesome suggestions I’ve been sent. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!
So lets resume this awesome series with Rachel from Twenty-Something Beauty!!!
Name: Rachel Cara Bell
Age: 19
How long have you been blogging?
About a month now, so still just a baby at it! I’ve been wanting to do it for much longer but only took the plunge a little while ago after talking to some lovely girls in the blogging community.
I mostly do reviews at the moment, with the odd OOTD OR NOTD, but hopefully as I grow as a blogger I can include more fashion. haul and personal posts depending on what my readers want.
This was more difficult that I had anticipated! It came around because I was having a mini freakout about turning twenty soon and whilst talking to my mum about my beauty obsession I said ‘I’ll be doing twenty-something beauty soon. Boom – blog name right there. Though of course, anyone of any age is welcome and catered for on my blog.
No, not full time I’m afraid. I’m at university at the moment studying History with a desire to go into consulting or PR. In my spare time I do bar work on the side to fund my beauty and fashion obsessions which is great fun.
I have very thick frizzy hair that is the bane of every hairdressers life! It probably doesn’t help that I have an addiction to changing my hair colour every three months…Currently I use Elvive Colour Protect which is fabulous for keeping away the fade in my red hair. But I have to admit a fondness for Lee Stafford hair masques – I’ve yet to find one that beats the smell of his hair growth masque!
Currently it would have to be my Elemis Pro-Radiance Cleanser for soothing my sensitive skin, Xen Tan Dark Lotion for a nice olive glow and MAC blacktrack for a long lasting gel eyeliner.
Gosh, that’s a hard question, I have so many who’ve inspired me. If I have to pick a few it would be Vivianna does MakeUp, Make Yu Up and MakeUp Savvy. These girls have amazing blogs which really showcase their personalities.
What’s your pet hate?
What makes you subscribe to a blog?
A sense of a person’s personality in their writing; a clear and simple layout, well lit and placed photographs and a variety in content.
Lisa Eldrige, I am addicted to her youtube channel. I love her versatility and the fact she has such a talent for problem skin like my own.
Determined, Passionate, Dry, Confident, Strange!
I’m honest in any situation and I’m a good listener. I love to be able to try and help people through difficult situations and be able to smile with them at the end of them.
Glamour and Cosmopolition: both are bought religiously every month.
Raspberries and chocolates. Though not together!
I hardly ever do big hauls per se. I usually just buy one or two things a week and reserve big hauls for holidays or special occasions.
Great post, I love reading these type of blogger interviews. It's a great way of discovering new blogs (which I've just done).Haha, that's one of my biggest pet hates too Rachel, you're right there's nothing more off putting than someone standing over your shoulder.
