How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging on Chyaz.com since May, but I’ve had my PunkChyaz YouTube channel since 2006! I’ve only been posting beauty videos on there for about 2 1/2 years though.
How many subscribers (across all media incl Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc) do you have right now?
Oh gosh! Well…26,441 YouTube subscribers, 1,100 blog followers, 1,850 Twitter followers and 4,285 Facebook ‘fanpage’ likes so…a very scary number!!
What do you blog most about (reviews? make-up looks? hair care products? fashion?)?
Beauty reviews on my blog – I love reading them as well as writing them! On my YouTube channel it is a mixture of make up tutorials, outfit of the day videos, hauls and reviews.
How did you come up with your blog’s name?
Chyaz has been my nickname for most of my life, so it just seemed natural to have Chyaz.com, plain and simple!
Do you blog full-time? If not, what do you do full-time?
I do all sorts – I’m technically a full time University student, studying journalism, but alongside that I run my YouTube page and blog and also work as the face of Simple skincare! I have no idea how I fit it all in and still have a social life!
Have you ever been invited to any blogging events? If yes, which one was your favorite?
I’ve been invited to quite a few now but have never been able to attend any due to University commitments. My best blogger experience, outside of actually blogging, was the Manchester blogger meet up where I got to meet your lovely self and other fab bloggers!
What type of hair do you have and what’s your favorite hair care brand?
My hair is basically a big, long, thick blonde mane! It is in good condition for its length, so I’ve been told, but I try not to damage it with too much heat! I love John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoos and conditioners, and their new Lightening Spray is amazing!
What’s in your make-up bag?
In my every day bag, there is my Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara, my MAC Smoulder eyeliner and my Simple Lip Balm, along with a few odd lipglosses. Those three items are my daily essentials though!
What products do you swear by?
I couldn’t live without my Simple skincare routine – even before I was the face of Simple I was hooked! I luckily get to try out many of their products, so I’m in the process of trying most of the cleansers, toners and moisturisers!
Who are your favorite bloggers?
I love so many – your wonderful self, BrittanyLovex, Lipglossiping, MayLovesMakeup, BeautysBadHabit, BritishBeautyBlogger…I could go on forever!
What animal would you be if you could choose?
Other people always say I’d be a cat due to my cat eyes…I think I’d like to be a lion cub though, just because of my lifelong obsession with The Lion King!
What’s your pet hate?
People who look down their nose at others for no good reason – it’s just rude!
What’s your vice?
This is going to sound silly, but I’m addicted to the Padana pizza from Pizza Express – I would eat it for every meal if I could!!
What makes you subscribe to a blog?
I have to get a good vibe from the writer or vlogger – a down to earth personality and good quality material does it for me.
How do you think your blog stands out from the other blogs?
I love how my blog looks aesthetically (my lovely boyfriend is a web developer/designer and kindly lent his skills!) and I try to post every day without fail – I hope people like that about it!
Do you have a favorite make up artist? If yes, who is it?
Yes – Caroline Frazer. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of spending some time with her – hearing about her amazing life and her latest celebrity clients is awesome! She gave me a make up lesson the last time I saw her which was fantastic, plus she’s just such a lovely person.
How would other people describe you using only 5 adjectives?
Oh dear, good question! I would hope/imagine something like: loyal, fun, friendly, down-to-earth and hard-working.
What do you consider your strengths?
If I set my mind to something, I seem to really be able to pull it off – touch wood!! I like my strong work ethic and that I can be quite organised.
What is your favorite beauty magazine?
I love the beauty pages of Glamour – I’d love to write for them one day!
What food can you not stay away from?
The aforementioned pizza – I can’t name it again or my cravings will get the better of me!!
How often per month do you haul?
Probably once, twice at the most. It’s not something that is massively on my radar, but it’s fun to do once in a while!
Is there something we should know about you that you haven’t shared before?
I absolutely hate and detest baked beans. I can’t even look at them! See, I’m full of life-changing nuggets of information for you all :)

PS – I know I suck for not having blogged much. I have to write about 12,000 words by mid December as my exams are right after the Christmas break which means I have to have done all my coursework before I start revising. So basically my life has been taken hostage by uni work. I hope you guys understand xxxx
