It’s that time of the week again! Yes, TGIF! Thank God it’s Friday again! Tonight, I’m going to see Take That – I used to be a massive fan and then Fatty McFatFat errrrr Robbie rejoined with the other 4 lads! I’m one of the old school fans. I was like 11 when I saw Howard Donald’s yum bum on tour haha! So I’ll be stalking them tomorrow and then on Sunday it’s my man’s gradball! What are your plans?

How long have you been blogging?
For just over a year
How many subscribers (across all media incl Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc) do you have right now?
I have to pinch myself every time I look at my subscriber numbers, but I’m lucky enough to have 454 GFC followers, 167 Facebook and 942 Twitter. I’ve only just started YouTubing and have 27 subscribers now.
What do you blog most about (reviews? make-up looks? hair care products? fashion?)?
I think my blog is a bit of a strange one because I am half and half beauty and fashion. I like to do outfit posts and talk about fashion trends or crimes of fashion, I also do reviews of makeup and how-to’s for things like fake tan or halo braids.
How did you come up with your blog’s name?
It’s called Lauren Loves… because it’s my diary of everything I see and love in the fashion and beauty world.
Do you blog full-time? If not, what do you do full-time?
I don’t sadly, it’s my hobby. I work full time as a Psychologist for people with brain injuries.
Have you ever been invited to any blogging events? If yes, which one was your favorite?
I have but sadly I can never attend because they’re all on work days. I’m really excited about the upcoming Aussie event though.
What type of hair do you have and what’s your favorite hair care brand?
I have very long, blonde hair with layers. My hair is my “crowning glory” according to my family and I really love it. My favourite hair care HAS to be Tigi – I love the Superstar range for volumising my thin hair into a lion’s mane!
What’s in your make-up bag?
Currently I’m using Collection 2000 Perfect Finish foundation, MeMeMe Flawless Concealer, No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara, Barry M blusher in Strawberry and 17 Mirror Shine lipstick in Belle
What products do you swear by?
Anything by Liz Earle! I have such sensitive skin that I have to wash my face upside-down, but I’ve never had a bad reaction to a Liz Earle product and they’re all so good!
Who are your favorite bloggers?
I have so many! Probably at the moment it’s Hey Gorgeous because everything is so pretty and girly, and May Loves Makeup because it’s so good. I’m also loving Big Fashionista for writing such hilarious posts.
What animal would you be if you could choose?
Definitely a cat! I see my cat, Button eat, sleep and get tickled all day long and I think I could definitely take up that lifestyle.
What’s your pet hate?
I can’t stand the sound of metal on teeth! People who scrape their spoon or fork against their teeth while eating makes me absolutely cringe! Fashion wise though, I really dislike crocs – they’re just wrong!
What’s your vice?
I’m slightly addicted to Mini Eggs. I also adore maxi dresses, my boyfriend would probably say that’s my vice!
What makes you subscribe to a blog?
Pictures and a good layout. If a blog is hard to read it instantly puts you off, and also if there aren’t any pictures or swatches on a review it’s difficult to get an idea of the product.
How do you think your blog stands out from the other blogs?
That’s a really hard question! I think my blog stands out because it’s informative and has lots of relevent information. I’d like to think I write well and if I’m talking about something, such as my fake tan post from the other day, I give a lot of information and also photos which illustrate my point.
Do you have a favorite make up artist? If yes, who is it?
I don’t think I do. I love the makeup artists doing the catwalk shows at the moment – their ideas are so creative and I’m loving the flouro lip or eye makeup look.
How would other people describe you using only 5 adjectives?
Enthusiastic, friendly, honest, happy and hard-working probably!
What do you consider your strengths?
I think I have a lot of integrity – I’m always honest, hard-working and try to be friends with everyone.
What is your favorite beauty magazine?
At the moment it’s Elle. I wasn’t really into this magazine but then some Tweeps recommended it and now I’m addicted!
What food can you not stay away from?
Anything pasta based. I love carbonara, bolognaise, lasagne. Yum!
How often per month do you haul? I
don’t tend to haul really unless I need a wardrobe revamp because I’m feeling frumpy! I tend to shop little but often!
Is there something we should know about you that you haven’t shared before?
I really love Kylie Minogue! It’s my guilty pleasure.
See, I knew why I did this series! Did you know that she works as a psychiatrist for people with brain injuries. I didn’t know and I love her even more for that. It must be soooo difficult but fulfilling at the same time. I admire her for that!! And she’s just revamped her blog which looks fantastically professional but also still personal!!
