Welcome back to the Follow Friday Interview Series. I hope you have been enjoying reading about the mix of known and less known bloggers. I’m really liking this series myself because I get to know my favorite bloggers better and I hope you find some bloggers that you find interesting to check out and follow.
This Friday, I want to introduce you to a lovely young lady namely Christina Marie. I met this cutiepie in London one afternoon before an event we’d been invited to. I was the first blogger she’s ever met off-line / in real life, so she was rather nervous! Bless her! But we got on really well, I found and she was just so adorable and sweet! We found that we’re both equally stingy haha! YAY to that :) So here she is, telling you more about herself.

How long have you been blogging?
Well according to my account I joined in January 2009 but I didn’t start writing posts/following blogs until August 2010 so slightly under a year!
How many subscribers (across all media incl Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc) do you have right now?
I don’t really have a YT account or Twitter/FB account specifically set up for my blog but I have 499 followers on my blog (including bloglovin’ followers)
What do you blog most about (reviews? make-up looks? hair care products? fashion?)?
Probably reviews (with some hauls thrown in occasionally). I also do a lot of Lush product posts showing demos/pictures of the products etc. Those seem quite popular!
How did you come up with your blog’s name?
It’s a bit of a crap one I think you’ll agree. Not very original.. I took my name ‘Christina Marie’ and added says.. on it. Pretty self explanatory (and a bit like Simon Says..)! I should really be more creative!
Do you blog full-time? If not, what do you do full-time?
I wish! I’m shamefully not doing much with my life at the mo! I dropped out of a college a few months ago and have just been looking for jobs/taking up any part time work that I can get to be honest. There’s currently a job going at a place I’ve worked for several times before so fingers crossed I get that!
Have you ever been invited to any blogging events? If yes, which one was your favourite?
Yes, one! It was a VO5/Tresemme event in Soho Hotel (where I met you!), that was my fave event…. ;)
What type of hair do you have and what’s your favorite hair care brand?
It’s coloured (and bright red)! Not bad condition considering I use heat on it everyday! My favourite brand would have to be Tresemme. They’re affordable and actually work!
What’s in your make-up bag?
I don’t own a make-up bag any more as I have my make-up in little drawers. Some of my everyday products would be Benefit’s Benetint, Revlon’s Colour Stay Foundation, Rimmel’s Professional Brow Pencil and my much loved AVON SuperSHOCK Gel Eyeliner!
What products do you swear by?
E45 moisturiser! I cannot rave about it enough, it’s fantastic for dry skin, oily skin, combo skin, normal skin. Get it! (Plus it’s cheap). I’m also a massive fan of the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, it’s better than MAC’s!
Who are your favorite bloggers?
Ah I have loads! My all time favourite blogger would have to be Emma as she was the first blogger I ever followed (and I was also subbed to her YT channel before I joined the blogging world). I also love Caz, Leanne, Katie, yourself and of course many others!
What animal would you be if you could choose?
A cat! They’re cute and get lots of attention and cuddles!
What’s your pet hate?
I don’t know if it’s what you’d call a ‘pet hate’ but racism. I cannot stand people who are racist, there’s just no need! It’s also quite offensive to me as I have a VERY multicultural family!
What’s your vice?
Eating when bored!
What makes you subscribe to a blog?
Personality! I don’t like it when blogs are TOO formal, it makes it much more fun when you can have a little laugh and a joke with the writer.
How do you think your blog stands out from the other blogs?
I’m not too sure to be honest! I make sure I always write about things that I think would interest me if I were a reader, I try to engage the readers as much as I can and I always reply to any comments left no matter what.
Do you have a favorite make up artist? If yes, who is it?
Would if be totally weird if I said the Pixiwoo sisters? I think they’re work is brilliant (especially the more creative looks).
How would other people describe you using only 5 adjectives?
Bubbly, Shy (at first!), Cheeky, Blonde, Generous
What do you consider your strengths?
I’m a great listener and often am asked for advice. I think i’m quite generous as well?
What is your favorite beauty magazine?
Cosmopolitan <3
What food can you not stay away from?
What foods can I stay away from would of been a better question. Erm.. cheese, I eat far too much of it!
How often per month do you haul?
2-3 times maybe? Naughty!
Is there something we should know about you that you haven’t shared before?
I actually had plastic surgery at the age of 13 (under the NHS). It was an op called Pinnaplasty which involved reshaping/pinning back the ears. I’d do it again in a flash!
Christina Marie is so adorable. She says she’s shy but she didn’t strike me as shy or at least she wasn’t intimidated by my non-shyness! She managed to deal with my in-your-face-ness, so I love her for it!! And I might be biased here, but OMG for finding someone as absolutely 100% as stingy as me! Hurrah!! :)
