Hello there, I’m Fliss from The Offbeat Girl and I’m writing this guest post as Maria very kindly gave me her blogger pass for this past weekend’s Style Birmingham Live fashion shows as she flew out to see her great-nephew’s christening.
For those of you who don’t know, Style Birmingham Live is a weekend in Birmingham with fashion shows, store offering discounts and goodies and a general fun atmosphere of fashion in the city. In the Mailbox we had the ‘Drama & Decadence‘ show and in the Bullring was the ‘Enchanted‘ show.
The ‘Drama & Decadence‘ show featured clothing runways from Harvey Nichols, House Of Fraser, Marks and Spencer, The Mailbox Stores, Bullring Stores and Selfridges, all of which were mostly designer/catwalk inspired looks…
Over at The Bullring, The Enchanted show featured looks from most of the Bullring stores such as River Island, Zara, Karen Millen, French Connection, Topshop, Next, Monsoon, COS, Gap and New Look amongst many! All of which were based on a high street version of catwalk looks and had a fairytale/wonderland theme…
Overall, I adored this Enchanted show. It had a magical feel to it and had such great clothing, plus the models were brilliant – the hair was awesome! I thought this show had great styling and the atmosphere was electric as there were people watching on three floors and a four strong crowd which made it feel really alive.
I had a great time at Style Birmingham Live, seeing the variety in the shows and looking at the upcoming trends was great fun. I met some lovely people, shook hands with Greg Rutherford, lusted over lots of shoes and colours, got a cake pop and all in all had a wonderful day. I would recommend visiting the shows to anyone who loves to look at clothes, enjoys the fun of being at a runway show and getting discounts and goodies when shopping!
I hope you enjoyed my guest post here and be sure to come pop over to my blog too and say hello!
