Some of you might not remember who Diana Vickers is. I had to just google it myself. I know of her, her name is familiar to me, but I couldn’t remember how she got famous (and hence her own clothing line at Very). Apparently she was the bookies’ favorite to win in the 2008 X Factor Series, but managed to only get 4th place.
Somehow she still got famous. Nowadays that wouldn’t happen. I can’t even remember the 2 (was it even 2?) other finalists from last year’s X Factor, and the winner from 2009′s X Factor even got dropped from his recording deal. So how did Diana Vickers manage to get her own collections at Very even though she only made 4th? Anyways, I digress…
My thoughts
I’m torn about this collection. I love 3 pieces (the red shift dress, the pink & floral short jumpsuit and the grey knitted dress) but overall, I sort of feel like most of the items would’ve been more ideal for the summer. We had the marine theme and the floral and cute animal prints and the jumpsuits this summer, right? And who would wear a short jumpsuit in the winter? I certainly would not! Care too much about my ovaries to let them freeze to death! But I do love the 60s feel of the entire collection and while I might not know Diana Vickers, I do love Very and she does look awesome in these pictures! LOVE the messy beehive!! But for me from this collection, I am missing more … you know… pieces that keep you and everything you have warm…
What do you think of this collection?
Much love,
Miss drifted Snow White
