God, I really can’t count the times anymore when I was really excited to be getting a parcel with a blouse, skirt or whatever, ripping the parcel apart and my clothes off to try it on immediately and then hitting that ULTRA disappointment when I discover the item of my desire doesn’t fit. We all know that all too well (it’s partially our fault though for not looking into the sizing guides of the retailers!)
That happened with this beautiful blouse from Max C London I’ve worked with them before and knew the other blouse fit perfectly, so I went for the item without hesitation, but it’s way too tight on the neck. Super disappointment. But it doesn’t deter me from wearing the blouse – it’s just too much of a pretty cornflower blue! So I tucked the lapels in to create a V neckline instead of that originally intended masculine high-neck button-up’ed thing.
I think paired with my most beloved pleather skirt from Glamorous that make my legs always look perfect and those nice wedge knee-high boots from New Look I think this works unexpectedly well, don’t you think?
These are my first knee-high boots of the year! I normally shy away from these kind of boots because I can’t quite zip them up – I need wide-fit boots but there isn’t a great, affordable selection available anywhere :( But these just about zip-up so all is well!
At least on me, knee-high boots actually go all the way to my knees ;)
