I got another review for you today. This is about the Yaby eye shadows that a lot of people raved about in this year. I’ve had these since the end of last year, but hadn’t really thought about reviewing them! Shame on me!!

I think I was originally inspired by MakeupForLife.net‘s Phyllis after hearing her raving about Yaby Cosmetics in her reviews of the company’s eye shadows, of their blushes, highlighters, bronzers and setting powders, and about her meeting with Liz Yiu, the creator of Yaby Cosmetics. Her verdict was, that Yaby’s eye shadows are highly comparable to MAC eye shadows. So I went and bought four eye shadows with matte and one pearl paint shadow.

So Yaby does A LOT of colours – mattes and frost ones. They’re tiny (about a 5 Pence coin) but very, very pigmented so that the eye shadows being small doesn’t actually matter that much. Actually, it makes them great for those that travel a lot but want to have a choice of colors.

The problem with matte eye shadows is that they are somtimes difficult to work with – as in blend, but these Yaby matte e/s are soooo easy applicable and blendable it’s unbelievable!! These aren’t my first matte e/s – I have some of MAC, Too Faced, Urban Decay and Sleek MakeUp – but these are definitely one of my favorites! They apply opaquely and evenly.

Would I buy again? ABSO-effing-LUTELY :-) I actually intend to buy an entire palette for travelling as travelling with a selection of set palettes or even planning my variable palettes is so much hassle because I don’t like having to decide what colors I want to use and wear days in advance!
