Review: Tresemme Thermal Recovery Shampoo & Conditioner

Tresemme kindly sent me a couple of their products about a month ago, and I’ve been testing them since them so I can give you a proper review.

Before I start, I gotta say something to my hair routine: I only wash my hair every other day and I don’t use any other products besides shampoo, conditioner and heat protective spray. So no hair spray or mousse or anything. But my hair is very dry from straightening it constantly (and not using the heat protective spray the way I should) and it’s also damaged from dyeing it (though the last time I dyed it was around November).

Product Details
Brand: Tresemme
Product Range: Thermal Recovery
Product: Shampoo, Conditioner
Price: £2.70 each
Size: 500ml / 32 fl oz
Description: “This replenishing formula fortified with aloe vera and almond oil gently removes product build up without dehydrating the hair, ideal for those who regularly use heat styling tools. Specific conditioning ingredients bind to the hair shaft to further smooth the cuticle for great softness and shine.” (Shampoo) “The deep nourishing formula fortified with aloe vera and almond oil bind to areas of damage in the hair to lock in much needed moisture and help combat dry, dull hair.” (Conditioner)

Packaging
Both the shampoo and the conditioner come in very big bottles; one in white (conditioner), one in black (shampoo). With the white package of the conditioner you can see (like on the picture above) how much product you’ve used so far. Both bottles are plastic and have red tilt-caps (as in you press down one side of the lid, so that the opening for the product dispensing pops up). They have similar design on the front label, which makes it easier to match them in a shop. 5 out of 5

Product
These are the only shampoo and conditioner in Tresemme’s Thermal Recovery line. The line also has a heat protective styling spray (review), a deep treatment and a styling mousse. Tresemme offers 8 different shampoos & conditioners for every need (colour, smoothing, strengthing, cleansing & replenishing, etc). The price-value for these are amazing. You get 500ml in each product and it’s only £2.70 each!! OMG! 5 out of 5

Quality
Both smell divine. That was the first thing I noticed when I poped the tilt-lid open. It probably is that mix of aloe vera and almond oil. And these will last forever, because they are soo big! And they really do what they say: smooth my hair, give it softness and shine. My hair feels less dry and brittle, and its easier to comb and style!! 5 out 5

Overall
You can tell from the rating that I really like these products! They are truly amazing and such a bargain! I will definitely buy them once I gotten through them (which will take a while as I’m now trialing other shampoos & conditioners for review purposes!). 5 out of 5
