Review: Organic Surge Skin Perfecting Polish

A couple of weeks ago, I gave you my First Impressions of Organic Surge’s Skin Perfecting Polish, that Organic Surge had kindly sent me for PR purposes. I also used that chance to tell you about more about the company’s mission of helping kids in Africa, which resonated positively with a lot of you guys. But I promised a review, so you’re getting one!

Product Details
Brand: Organic Surge
Product Name: Skin Perfecting Polish
Product Type: Facial Scrub/Exfoliator
Size: 150ml / 5 fl oz
Price: £5.99
Description: “Skin Perfecting Polish stimulates, smoothes and rehydrates all skin types. Natural exfoliating granules made from finely ground apricot stones and walnut shells gently remove any dirt, impurities and dead cells allowing the skin to rejuvenate naturally. Organic essential oils of rosemary and lemon detoxify and rejuvenate dull skin while soothing almond oil helps to restore lost moisture.

Packaging
The facial scrub comes in a plastic squeeze tube with a very sturdy lid at its bottom. This makes dispensing the product very easy and hygenic as you don’t contaminate the product by directly touching it and you don’t have to have super high grip strength to squeeze the product out. I can’t think of a better packaging than this. 5 out of 5

Product
Organic Surge only offers this facial scrub, but they also offer a body scrub in their range. For a small company like that I think it’s fair that they only offer one facial exfoliator and most companies I can think of only offer one anyways. Since its suitable for all skin types, I also think that it’s no biggie, that they only offer this one. I think it’s very affordable for its price and the amount of product you get. 5 out of 5

Quality
This manual exfoliator has a gel-like consistency and doesn’t lather up a lot. The granules are very gentle to the skin and don’t feel gritty or scratchy at all. The essential oils in the products makes it smell absolutely divine and my skin felt very supple and refreshed after usage. It doesn’t refine poors, but definitely gets rid off the dead cells and dirt. My skin doesn’t break out very much and isn’t sensitive, so I can’t judge if it really is suitable for all skin types – for my mine it definitely is! 5 out of 5

Overall
I’m really glad that I got to test this product – I will definitely buy this. I probably wouldn’t have bought it if I had seen it in the shops and would’ve continued to go for the grittier St Ives Apricot Scrub or a cheap version of that. You might say my opinion is biased because I think it’s an amazing mission & philosophy this company and its founder have, but this product is seriously good. 5 out of 5

Conclusion
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Product: 5 out of 5
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 5 out of 5
Total: 20 out of 20

I hope you enjoyed reading this review. Let me know if you end up buying it too.
