I recently raved about Organic Surge as a company with its unique philosophy & mission in my review of their Skin Perfecting Polish.
They kindly sent me another product – the Overnight Sensation Night Cream – that I’m now going to review for you.
Brand: Organic Surge
Product Type: Night Cream
Product Name: Overnight Sensation Night Cream
Description: “Overnight Sensation Night Cream restores, revitalises and rehydrates all skin types. Bursting with organic rose geranium essential oil and intensive natural moisturisers, the cream lovingly restores skin while you sleep, so you wake up to smooth, supple skin and a healthy-looking, more radiant complexion.“
The night cream comes in a clear plastic jar with a big lid. It has a protective plastic cover on the inside so that the product doesn’t go everywhere and loses its effectiveness from oxidation. The jar sits in a blue/white cardboard box that has a round cut-out in the lid so you can see you are looking at. I would’ve preferred a pump-packaging, as having to use fingers to get product out of the packaging is never good in terms of contamination. 3 out of 5
Organic Surge’s skin care range is fairly small so it’s understandable that this is their only night cream. But as it is suitable for all skin types and has been tested for sensitive skin, I think it’s fine that way. For £7.99 you get a lot of product as well, compared to other brands’ night creams. 4 out of 5
The product feels very refreshing on the skin and you can tell that it’s moisturizing well. My skin feels immediately suppler (I have combination/oily skin) and in the morning I often feel my skin is just the perfect amount of moisturized so that I don’t feel the need to moisturize for the day (I still do though). It doesn’t feel greasy and doesn’t leave a film of residue. AND it smells divine from all those different natural ingredients. 5 out of 5
I will definitely buy this product again. As I said before, I think this brand is brilliant. Being fairly small and selling their effective products for an affordable price is laudable enough, but actually contributing&funding different initiatives for kids in Africa just touches me. A lot of other companies should look to Organic Surge as role models! 5 out of 5
