Review: MeMeMe Nail Polishes

Helloo to another nail polsih review! This time I’m focussing on a rather new brand called MeMeMe that is only available in the UK exclusively in Superdrug and on the official website.

MeMeMe focuses on affordable cosmetics including foundations, concealers, finishing powder and skin illuminator to nail polishes, blushes, bronzers, lipsticks, eye shadows (see my review here) etc. It’s a wide variety of products and colors and most prices range between £5 and £10.

I was sent two MeMeMe nail polishes (plus a bronzer and a blusher, which I will review at a later time) called Distinctive and Delicate, and here are my thoughts on these.

Delicate & Distinctive

Product Details
Brand: MeMeMe
Product Type: Nail Polish
Product Name: N/A
Price: £4.50
Size: 12ml

Packaging
Like most nail polishes, these come in little round glass bottles that are see-through so you can spot the color straight away. They have slim black handles/lids that are towards the top wider than towards the bottle, which helps using the handle when applying nail polish. The logo and stuff is all printed on in black including some floral print. Looks quite pretty. The brush is rather wide and stiff compared to other nail varnish brushes, but that’s a plus – you can get your coat on with almost just one stroke! 4 out of 5

Product
It seems MeMeMe offers a wide variety of colors to choose from: The Classic collection alone contains 16 colors, plus their Catwalk collection with another 16 colors plus 3 metallic polishes. The colors themselves range from pastels, to dark to vibrant colors. Unfortunately you only get glossy finish polishes; as far as I can tell, MeMeMe lacks of matte finish polishes. However, some glossy finish polishes are creams and some have slight shimmer to them, so that’s good. MeMeMe also offers base & top coat products to protect your nails and for £4.50 you get 12ml, so only a little less than the average 15ml bottle. 4 out of 5

Quality
I have to admit I actually did not expect much of these because of the horrible colors I received. One is Khaki colors and one is a muddied smokey greyish purple. Not what I’m looking for regarding color for the spring/summer time. So yes, I was prejudiced. HOWEVER, I really like the performance/quality of these nail varnishes! The brush really helps with the application being stiff and wide, the consistency of the product is slightly thicker but not too thick. Yes you do need a 2nd coat to get proper opacity, BUT – these polishes dry sooooo fast! I really was amazed/impressed. I had just run out of my quick dry spray of Rival de Loop and expected it to take aaages to dry, but they were dry within minutes, even when I put on the 2nd coat. Very impressive! 5 out of 5

Overall
I’m definitely intrigued by how quickly these polishes dried! I’m sort of embarrassed for being prejudiced because of the colors. But looking at the range of colors MeMeMe offer online, I will DEFINITELY check these out more. There’s some colors that are very bright and vibrants. And they are so affordable! £4.50 is nothing compared to say OPI where you just get a tad more product for what, £15 or something? I hope MeMeMewill do a matte top coat. I really like having that option. But overall? Definitely worth checking out! Fantastic products :-) 5 out of 5

Conclusion
Packaging: 4 out of 5
Product: 4 out of 5
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 5 out of 5
Total: 18 out of 20

I hope you enjoyed this review! Have you tried these polishes? Might be worth a try if you are looking for affordable polishes that perform fantastically!

Much love,
Miss drifted Snow White
