I got BodyShop’s Shower Gel in Strawberry with my purchase of BodyShop’s Large Holdall (review) in December during the Post-Xmas Sales.
I’m going to review every item that I got with that bag and have already reviewed the Body Polish.
Size: 250ml / 8.4 US fl oz
Description: “A soap-free cleansing gel that lathers to leave your skin feeling clean, refreshed and subtly scented with a delicate, floral fragrance.” it also states on the bottle itself that it has “moisturizing Community Trade soya oil”.
It comes in a clear cylinder bottle that is squeezable which helps despense the product, but it’s still difficult. It has a small milky lid that can be unscrewed. The products label includes a picture of the “flavor” of the shower gel. On the back you can find the ingredients list. I wouldn’t minded an upside-down design like with the Body Polish, but either way 4 out of 5
It comes with 250ml or 8.4 US fl oz for £6 and comes in 13 variations: Pink Grapefruit, Satsuma, Olive, Strawberry, Coconut, Moringa, Almond, Neroli Jasmine, Shea, Raspberry, Sweet Lemon, Vanilla, Papaya, Wild Cherry and Passion Fruit. BodyShop also do a lot of sets that features this product. Each gel is in an color associateable with its “flavor”, which makes it look exquisite. It smells divine too. 5 out of 5
The product smells absolutely gorgeous when it’s dispensed and the gel lathers up really nicely. It leaves my skin feel clean and soft, but unfortunately it doesn’t smell of its flavor once I’ve towelled myself dry. I said this in the previous review
– I think that’s the most disappointing part of it all. Whenever I walk into BodyShop I feel positively overwhelmed by all the scents and I would want that at home too! But I guess the product’s description says it all “cleansing gel [...] leave[s] your skin [...] subtly scented”
so no false promises, but still. 2 out of 5
A nice product that is currently on sale for half price. It does what it says, but that’s not good enough for me.
I wouldn’t buy this again. I prefer the Body Polish as it looks more appealing to the eye and does the same thing as this product. It’s just as little scented as this, but gently removes my dead skin, so that outweighs this. 2 out of 5

I might try other scents just to see if this is a consistant problem with the lack of smell or just the strawberry variation.
