A couple of weeks ago, I received these two items for review purposes. I thought I could give you a proper review blog post for a change!
Andrea Fulerton is a celebrity nail technician and her products have launched (as far as I know) in the last 12 months in Superdrug – exclusively.
Brand: Andrea Fulerton
Product: Nail Polishes
Description: “Professional formula nail varnish and brush. Durable and long lasting. Allows nails to flex without chipping. Resin system gives easy application. Apply in one or two coats.“
The nail products come in unusually slim, tall clear glass bottles with a same-width cap. The brush is of medium size so that you can cover your nails easily, but also create nail art if you want. I’m not particularly fussed about the packaging, I prefer it to fancy/weird packaging, as those sometimes are difficult to store. These are easy to store. 5 out of 5
According to Andrea Fulerton’s press release (her website is very basic and only offer information via a downloadable press release) she offers 24 colors for her Nail Colors. I think that’s great, but there’s other brands (Models Own for example) who do almost 3 times that amount of colors with different finishes and stuff. Andrea also offers Peel-Off nail polishes and trio and nailcar and nail art stuff. But I would just prefer a lot more choice of color. 3 out of 5
Andrea’s press release describe the products as having a “unique resin system formula allows for easy application and for the nail to flex preventing chipping”. Well that did not apply in my case. I definitely 2 coats and it definitely chipped. Actually, I found that formula too thick and kind of difficult to work with. 2 out of 5
I think it’s a great idea to be able to buy celebrity nail technicians’ product on the high street. But I think Andrea could probably do a lot better than the quality of these products. I only got one nail polish off her so I can’t really say if my average experience was due to this particular product or if the issue is with the entire range. But for £5 I will definitely not go and find out. 1 out of 5
