January Favourites

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation [Vanille]
Colour Couture Cosmetics Sheer Lip & Cheek Tint [Pearl] *
Bourjois Radiance Mineral Powder [Vanille]
MAC Lipglass [Corpse-de-Ballet]
Illamasqua Cream Blush [?]
MUA Liquid Eyeliner [Black] (review)
Benefit They’re Real Mascara [Black]

I know I know I’m a little bit late with this, but ah well! I mean, can you remember the last time I did monthly favourites? No? Me neither! But I thought I could give this another go this year (does that count as New Year’s Resolution?)! This January Favourites isn’t very extensive, because I barely had the time to look after myself what with my first round of final year exams and tons of coursework!

My favourite Makeup items are above – the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation has been a regular go-to since I bought it at The Clothes Show, where I also got given the Colour Couture Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Tint that is brilliant as highlighter! That Illamasqua cream blush I apparently use so much, that the name on the back has come off – that speaks for the product though, right? Haha! I still haven’t found a better setting powder than Bourjois‘ Radiance Mineral powder – so this one will most likely pop up in future monthly favourites posts! Same with MUA‘s liquid eyeliner — I mean, it IS my holy grail eyeliner after all!

Forever 21 Green/Blue Crystal Studs
Forever 21 Hinge Bangle
Miss Selfridge Gold/Silver Dangling Studs
TopShop Matte-Golden Giant Geometric Dangling Studs
Primark Black/Gold Square Studs

I’m addicted to Forever 21. There! I said it! Phew, I feel better already! Can I go back there now? Whenever I go shopping and go near that store, I end up buying at least one piece of jewellery! I can’t help it – IT’S SO PRETTY!! But at least I’m branching out, right, what with probably the only set of TopShop and Miss Selfridge earrings I’ve ever owned haha!

Simple Oil Balancing Facial Scrub *
Lush Body Shower Gel [Snow Fairy]

You might notice the absence of favourite hair shampoo/conditioner/treatment – but I have to admit, I don’t have one (yet). I have tons of shampoos and conditioners lying about in my bathroom, but I couldn’t really say that I had a favourite. I use them as I fancy really. So no favourites in that regard – but at least I can offer you my favourite facial scrub (the only facial skincare product I use – ever!) which my Simple girl Chyaz sent me to manage my oily skin (I really should review this soon). And Lodz gave me Lush‘s Snow Fairy shower gel for Xmas which is now empty :’-( But I’ve reversed back to my ultimate favourite shower gel (which I will feature next month!)

TRESemme Salon Sleek Straightening Spray *
Superdrug Curly Hair Mousse
Phil Smith Curl Revive Spray *
Awapul Styling Treatment Oil *

Hair —- now while I might not have favourite shampoos, conditioners and all that stuff, I do have some favourites for my hair. I love, love, LOVE the TRESemme Salon Sleek Straightening Spray – it’s godly. It makes my hair sooooo sooooooft. Mmmmmmmmmm. And of course I need to use a hair oil as well – for managing my frizz-prone hair alone — and I reached to the Awapul one most in January. And if I go for curly hair (which I don’t really in the winter time ’cause my hair needs to air dry and that takes forever and I don’t really wanna leave the house with damp hair) I use the Awapul oil plus Phil Smith‘s curl spray and then Superdrug‘s curly hair mousse. I’ve tried so many different curl mousses, but most of them get really hard and make my hair all crunchy, but Superdrug‘s stuff is amazing – soft bouncy non-crunchy curls! Woop!

So what are your favourites? I would love to hear them (I always look for new things to try!). Also, should I post stuff like ‘favourite bags/shoes/clothes’ stuff in here as well? Let me know in the comments!!
