New: GOSH Creme Blushes (Photos & Swatches)

clockwise: Peachy Rush, Lusty Pink, Brown Dash

GOSH - the Danish makeup company exclusive to Superdrug – have extended their permanent range by adding a couple of creme blushes to their line. They have kindly sent me 3 (out of their released 4): a coral/peach called Peachy Rush, a fuchsia/hot pink called Lusty Pink and a light brown called Brown Dash.

clockwise: Peachy Rush, Lusty PinkBrown Dash

The 3 cream blushes are so pigmented. I use a small stippling brush to apply it – but you can obviously use your fingers too if you like to. But you need to be really careful and blend it really well. It’s best to apply it before you set your foundation.

These retail at £6.49 and should be available at all GOSH concessions at Superdrug.

My thoughts
I like cream blushes. I definitely don’t have enough. These are comparable to Topshop‘s cream blushes price & quality wise. I can only recommend them. They also work great to give your lips a bit of a tint :-)

Much love,
Miss drifted Snow White

Follow Friday Interview Series: Beauty’s Bad Habit

Happy Friday!!!

I hope you guys are alright! What a long week it’s been! Finally moved into my new place and while I love the kitchen (we’re on the 15th floor and have a stunning view), and while my room is bigger than the others (for which I pay more), I’m basically missing a piece of storage that all standard rooms have. Argued with them, but their response is “you have more floor space, therefore you should get your own storage” :O Ah well! Nothing can ever be how I need it. So I have to pay more anyways AND I have to pay extra for storage. Brill. :(

But it’s Friday! SO NO MORE DRAMA! WEEKEND! Today I’m introducing you to a lovely quiet lady that I met in late August at the blogger meetup in Manchester: Lily from Beauty’s Bad Habit!

Name: Lily
Age: 19
Twitter: BeautysBadHabit

Blog: Beauty’s Bad Habit

How long have you been blogging?
Since May 2010, so just a little over one year.

How many subscribers (across all media incl Twitter, Youtube, Facebook etc) do you have right now?
Right this very minute I have 1333 ‘dedicated readers’ on my blog (I hate the term ‘followers’!), 1046 on Twitter and 2281 on Youtube…though I haven’t updated my Youtube in almost a whole year! Oops. Bad Youtuber, bad!

What do you blog most about?
Mostly just general make-up goondess – reviews, make-up looks, tips and tricks with a slosh of fashion and a dash of photography.

How did you come up with your blog’s name?
I’d been using another name for a while on online make-up communities and as I got more and more into make-up, I got more and more into ‘breaking beauty rules’. Sometimes the things we’re told we should NEVER EVER do in beauty are exactly what we need to do – bad habits are the best kind to have! Think about it, curry, cider, chocolate – all bad for you but oh so fabulous ;)

Do you blog full time?
More or less, I’m unemployed and eagerly awaiting uni, so when I’m not with my family or friends I’m hammering away at the keyboard.

Have you ever been invited to any blogging events? If yes, which was your favourite?
I’ve been invited to quite a few events but unfortunately for me they’re always in London! Being in Manchester, I just can’t afford the travel; gutted to have missed a few Christmas in July events! I think my favourite so far was an Aussie event, the first I went to, it was so surreal to see some of my favourite bloggers in the flesh!

What type of hair do you have and what’s your favourite hair care brand?
Thick, unruly, frizzy hair! I’m part African and it really shows through my hair, which has strong afro traits. So far I love Naked for hair products, their conditioners turned my hair from straw to actual…hair and made is 100x more manageable.

What’s in your make-up bag?
Foundation, concealer, blush, mascara and whatever lip colour I’m using that day!

What products do you swear by?
Kryolan Ultra Foundation used as concealer, Kryolan face powder (awesome for oily skin), Maybelline Falsies mascara and MAC ‘Honeylove’ lipstick. I love indie cosmetics, too – eyeshadows by Fyrinnae and Darling Girl and ‘Black Magic’ soap by indie company, One Hand Washes the Other top my indie love list.

Who are your favourite bloggers?
I love Lipglossiping for her honest reviews, photography skills and sense of humour, Makeup Savvy for her professional but approachable writing style and Legothique for her no bullsh*t reviews and keeping me up to date with all things indie cosmetics.

What’s your pet hate?
When people complain endlessly about something they could change themselves with a little effort. Get some motivation and quit whining!

What’s your vice?
Cake. And bacon – my pig flesh soul mate.

What makes you subscribe to a blog?
Photos and a clear layout first off (think 25flondon style). Show me that and I’m sold.

How do you think your blog stands out from other blogs?
I don’t have a ‘sunshine and roses’ writing style, which I think a lot of people gravitate towards and eventually adopt themselves. I say it like it is, which can result in slightly shocking posts… If you want sugar coating, go elsewhere.

Do you have a favourite make-up artist?
Pat McGrath first and foremost for her bold looks, Kabuki Magic for being a genius and Alex Box for her ethics and making every other make-up artist in the world think, ‘I need to up my game.’

How would other people describe you in 5 adjectives?
Kooky, quiet, calm, to-the-point and experimental (minds out of the gutter, ladies!)

What do you consider your strengths?
I’m fiercely loyal, make awesome cake and know when to shut up haha :)

Is there something we should know about you that you haven’t shared before?
I made all the wrong choices when it came to education! I really regretted choosing to study make-up art (I ended up TEACHING most lessons instead of actually learning) but met my best friend through it and couldn’t be without him. I’ll be starting an SFX course in September, which is what I’ve wanted to do ever since I first watched Star Trek when I was about five year old! Sometimes, when you think you’ve made the worst decision you possibly could – one of the best things comes out of it. Regret nothing!

I love Lily. Not only is she one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, she’s also beautiful, unique and creative. I love her quiet side, it’s really soothing and I’m trying to learn from her how to shut up lol.

Go follow her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much love,
Miss drifted Snow White
